Problem:
The client has database servers using four layers of the OSI model to distribute their customer
information. The manufacturer of the client's messaging servers only provided the first three
layers of the OSI model. This resulted in the client's customer database having to be manually
entered twice, introducing data discrepancies and wasting operator time.
Action:
Digital Arts designed and implemented a fully compliant OSI layer 4.
Result:
The client's database servers are connected to their messaging servers eliminating the need
for independent databases, the personnel required to maintain them and the inevitable discrepancies.
