Piece of Rockefeller Center Sold
New York, NY - The 1,925,420 square foot Class-A office tower at
1211 Avenue of the Americas, overlooking Rockefeller Center, has been
sold to the Jamestown Group for $291 per square foot, totaling $561
Million.
The building was purchased from the Rockefeller Group, which
developed the building in 1973. The building was designed by the
architectural firm Harrison, Abramovitz, and Harris.
The Jamestown Group has its world headquarters in Germany, and its
U.S. headquarters in Atlanta. They also own properties in
Manhattan at 1475 Broadway and 620 Avenue of the Americas.
