Device drivers for an ATM (Automated Teller Machine) financial network.

Problem: A major ATM network handler, supporting over 10,000 ATMs, needed a universal ATM driver to support a variety of different vendors' hardware.

Action: Digital Arts staff designed and implemented a device driver that supported Diebold 911 and 912, NCR native, Fujitsu native, Custom Docunet (airline ticket dispenser), ASG (NCR's offline ATM interface), PACE (Diebold's offline ATM interface) and Cash Source Plus ( Diebold's dialup ATM interface).

Result: Uptime was increased, implementation time was decreased due to table driven options and automatic load customization. The network has grown to handle over 20,000 ATMs.
